The Windows Phone 7 was unveiled on 11 October 2010. It includes features taken from its Xbox games consoles as well as Zune music and video players. It has also unveiled approximately 2000 apps, which will hopefully grow as their rivals Apple currently holds around 170,000 apps, and Android has approximately 70,000 apps.

Windows Phone 7 is a mobile operating system developed by Microsoft, and is the successor to the Windows Mobile platform. It is due to launch in Europe and Asia on 21 October 2010, and in the US on 8 November 2010.
