Anyone wanting to ski or snowboard at what may be the last “secret” major destination snow resort in the lower 48 has a choice of excellent air access, plentiful ski-in ski-out lodging, as well as hotels, condos and even a downscale motel within the immediate area, and tasty dining out.
Big Sky – And Big Public Transportation
About an hour’s drive from Bozeman, Montana, Big Sky is well served by air and public ground transport. Bozeman has flights on Delta, Frontier and United, with nonstop flights from many cities including Minneapolis, Denver, Chicago and Atlanta.
Once visitors land at Gallatin Field Airport, it is easy to catch the Karst Stage shuttle van to Big Sky hotels and condos for about $40 per person. (There are also more expensive taxi and limo services.)
