An easy to use mobile phone could be a life saver for an older person. It would also give added peace of mind to family members and carers, who would feel happier if they knew their elderly parents or relatives had easy access to a mobile phone which they were confident to use. A loud ringtone, easy to see screen and large key pad would all be essential components of this type of mobile phone.

Mobile phone manufacturers have now realised this and are beginning to produce mobile phones with loud ring tones and large, easy to use keypads, especially designed to help the older user reap the benefits of having a user friendly mobile phone.
